I prefer constructing sites using CSS layouts over HTML tables. That's geek-speak for design flexibility. Once your site is built with CSS, I can easily make upgrades and alterations so that each new generation of browser will display your site correctly. It's a bit more time-consuming for a knowledgeable designer, but well worth it when you need to update your layout or images.
